the thank you club zine issue #2!

hooray! i've improved the first version of the thank you club zine and made the second issue. and i've scanned it into the computer so that everyone can download and print their own copy to read and re-distribute.

all thank you club zines are copyleft, so feel free to reproduce and redistribute as much as you want as long as you don't charge for it. the thank you club zine MUST be free!

assembly instructions:

1. download file(s) and use a program that allows you to edit the margins of the page. this is to ensure proper page alignment. the margins must be even on all sides. i would recommend 0.5" margins. i'm pretty sure this can be done in Word.

2. print the first page (the one with the whale on it.) then re-insert into the printer to print the second page on the reverse side. this might take a few tries to figure out. if the printer can print duplex, you can use that to simplify the process.

3. fold in half hamburger style. cut or tear along this fold. use the page numbers to help you figure out how to put the pieces together. fold the two pieces in half again hamburger style. the whale should be on the cover, and you've got your zine!

earthworm appreciation

did you know that every grain of dirt on this planet has been through an earthworm? earthworms are pretty awesome invertebrates. they just fertilize the soil for us! they eat it and then poop it out, but that poop is just dirt+vitamins!

sometimes when it rains a lot, the ground gets saturated with water and the wormies have to come out so that they don't drown. sometimes they get stuck on the sidewalk or asphalt and they start to dry up when the sun comes back out.

why not thank an earthworm by saving its life and just tossing it back on the grass/dirt when you see it on the sidewalk? i mean, it's a little silly, but they do a lot for humans!

eek! i had no idea i was almost a week behind with posting these! hopefully day 092 will make up for it... i think that's the most people successfully in the air i've taken so far! EXCITING! that jump was super excellent, too. six people all together!

hello! my name is elodie and i'm a member of the thank you club. i've decided to start a blog for members (and non-members!), but this in no way makes me a person of authority over the club. i am, however, researching its history so i can become a more effective member. i'll share my findings with you. i would be very pleased (and of course thankful) if you would share your comments, stories, or feelings about the thank you club with me and others. tips, tricks, and my personal thoughts are to follow. if you have a thank you blog of your own, by all means post a comment and i will include a link to it.
